Most visitors spend Mardi Gras fighting for a curb spot and a bathroom. Our guests walk one block to St. Charles Avenue, watch the parades, and walk back to a private courtyard, a stocked kitchen and a bed. That is the whole trick, and it is why these houses book up first.

Why stay with us for Mardi Gras

• A one-block walk to the St. Charles route, which carries the big Uptown parades, including Muses, Bacchus, Orpheus and Rex on Mardi Gras morning.
• Real bathrooms, a kitchen and a courtyard to come back to between parades. On parade days, that is the luxury.
• Room for the whole crew: 16 to 20 per house, or 34 with Lyra and Luna together behind one gate.
• Lyra and Luna rent together as The Muses, a nod to the Krewe of Muses, which traditionally rolls down St. Charles the Thursday before Mardi Gras.

Insider tips

• Park before the parades start. Once St. Charles closes, cars cannot cross it, and our street sits on the river side of the route.
• Bring a ladder seat for kids and a wagon for the cooler. Spots near the houses fill early on the big nights.
• Muses riders hand out decorated shoes. They are the most coveted throw of the season.
• Book early. Mardi Gras weekend is the first thing to go on our calendar every year.
